The Coach Sweep tool "attempts to calculate true swept corridor including rail head wear or rail side wear or all other parameters defined in respective norms." It is good that the tool includes these factors, but I request that it be optional. Many railroads provide a defined dynamic envelope for their vehicles that already includes these factors, so being able to toggle them on/off is essential to getting an accurate model. Running the static envelope using the built in compensations is not acceptable as we as users have no control over how the program accounts for them. For example, I am running a template on tangent, level track and getting a coach sweep that is 6.25" wider than the static vehicle in both directions. We need to be able to adjust whatever settings lead to this result.
