There is not currently a way to define a profile match line using the Profile Annotation Group > Line settings. Lines drawn using this method are perpendicular to the vertical alignment. While that is appropriate for plan sheets, it is completely wrong for profiles, whose match lines should be vertical.

Consider adding an Orientation field to the Line settings to facilitate the creation of match lines. This is particularly necessary when the vertical axis is offset from the grid to avoid text conflicts.
