A tool that projects point elements (drainage nodes, boreholes, signs, ...) to the nearest XCs.

This could work using named groups just like the new shipped funcion:

This idea is a follow up/improvement for the one in the link above.

A great example is working with boreholhes data. This would make it very easy to analyse boreholes x XCs and geothecnical analysis.

Adding the data of the offset value to the XCs to the projection would be a nice touch. This way we could use Text Favorites to annotate that value and make analysis and documentation even better!
